We have an immediate opening for an Immigration Senior Associate or Senior Counsel with a minimum of five years of employment-based immigration experience preferred to support a high-volume, sophisticated practice. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of U.S. employment-based immigration laws and regulations, along with strong drafting, analytical, and organizational skills. We will consider candidates for any of our offices including our virtual office, The Link. The candidate will work primarily with attorneys in our Healthcare, Life Sciences & Education business unit.
The successful candidate will independently manage a broad range of employment‑based immigration matters, including both nonimmigrant and immigrant visa processes, advise corporate and institutional clients on immigration strategy, compliance, and risk management, prepare and review complex filings, including: H‑1B, J-1 physician waivers, L‑1, O‑1, TN, E‑3, and other nonimmigrant petitions, PERM labor certifications, I‑140 immigrant petitions (EB‑1A and EB-1B, EB‑2 including NIW, EB‑3), and I-485 applications and consular processing. The candidate will be expected to draft responses to RFEs, NOIDs, and other agency inquiries, communicate directly with clients, HR professionals, and internal stakeholders, supervise and collaborate with paralegals and junior team members, and contribute to practice development, knowledge sharing, and process improvement initiatives.
The firm is looking for individuals who enjoy working in a collaborative environment and who can work both as part of a team and independently manage projects, as well as advise sophisticated clients, including higher education institutions and academic medical centers, independently.
The ideal candidate will have excellent academic credentials, a commitment to the community, superior interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated record of working well under pressure, managing a high caseload of complex matters with competing deadlines. The candidate should demonstrate exceptional judgment, the ability to effectively handle multiple projects, excellent communication and writing abilities, and the ability to articulate legal strategies and courses of action. Candidates should have an active bar license in the state corresponding with the office to which they are applying or commit to obtaining one as soon as possible.

Pursuant to applicable state laws, the compensation range for a Senior Associate in California, Colorado, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, and Washington is $250,000-$315,000, in New York, Vermont, and Washington, D.C. is $240,000-$305,000, and in Illinois and Minnesota is $215,000-$305,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Pursuant to applicable state laws, the compensation range for a Senior Counsel in California, Colorado, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, and Washington is $210,000-$350,000, in New York, Vermont, and Washington, D.C. is $175,000-$335,000, and in Illinois and Minnesota is $175,000-$350,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Salaries in all other markets will vary depending on market data. Associates are eligible for an Associate Performance Bonus and Client Development Bonus. We offer competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) and much more.
