As a Sr. Advanced Manufacturing Engineerhere at Honeywell, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our manufacturing processes and driving innovation within the aerospace sector. Your expertise will help shape the future of our manufacturing operations, ensuring operational excellence and cost efficiency.

You will report directly to our Advanced Manufacturing Engineer Manager and you’ll work out of our Kanata, ON location.

In this role, you will operate as the AME team lead, working closely with the leadership team to drive daily operational excellence by coordinating cross‑functional communication, managing production priorities, and ensuring key performance indicators are consistently met. This role serves as a central point of alignment between Tier 2, Tier 3, and Tier 4 teams, ensuring issues are escalated, tracked, and resolved efficiently.

The Team

Lead will also oversee capital and WARP management activities to support long‑term equipment and resource planning.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead daily Tier 3 meetings, ensuring clear communication of priorities, issues, and action items.
  • Attend daily Tier 2 and Tier 4 meetings to represent the AME team, provide updates, and escalate concerns as needed.
  • Coordinate cross ‑ team alignment to ensure smooth handoffs and timely resolution of operational challenges.
  • Status PROs and ECATs daily, ensuring accurate tracking, timely updates, and closure of open items.
  • Monitor yield performance across assigned areas, identify trends or deviations, and drive yield improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with engineering, quality, and production teams to implement corrective actions and long ‑ term solutions.
  • Oversee capital management, including tracking equipment health, coordinating maintenance needs, and supporting capital planning activities.
  • Manage WARP (Work Activity Resource Planning) activities to ensure proper allocation of labor, tools, and resources to support production goals.
  • Support the introduction of new products into the factory, ensuring DFMA principles are applied and products are fully ready for production.
  • Mentor and coach junior level engineers
  • Perform/Lead Root Cause Corrective Analysis targeting yield improvement and drive corrective actions to closure

Qualifications

The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP and CSP security clearance.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Electrical, Computer Systems, Mechanical)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in advanced manufacturing engineering and process optimization.

WE VALUE

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Aerospace or Automotive industry and/or Electronics manufacturing.
  • Experience in implementing advanced manufacturing technologies and processes.
  • Experience in the use of Lean tools
  • Experience with design and development processes

  • Proven track record of driving innovation and operational excellence in manufacturing operations.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Basic knowledge of the field's standards and specifications

  • Strong communication skills
  • Application of basic engineering techniques to optimize manufacturing processes

  • Willingness to consistently take the initiative to get things done.

The annual base salary range for this position is $99,100 to $130,000 in Kanata, Ontario. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
