Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Reporter role based in Patna. The selected candidate will be responsible for researching, investigating, and writing news articles across assigned beats, including politics, education, business, and lifestyle. Tasks include conducting interviews, fact-checking, crafting accurate reports, and adhering to editorial guidelines.

The role requires maintaining high editorial standards while meeting tight deadlines. Additionally, the Reporter will collaborate with other journalists and editors to cover breaking news and deliver compelling, well-researched pieces to meet both print and digital publication needs.

Qualifications

• Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to create engaging and accurate news stories
• Proficiency in conducting research and interviews to ensure credible and well-informed reporting
• Knowledge of media ethics and adherence to editorial standards
• Familiarity with digital tools and analytics to optimize online content
• Ability to work under tight deadlines in a dynamic newsroom environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for cultivating sources and building networks
• Strong interest in and knowledge of politics, regional issues, and current events
