Job Overview

We are looking for a technically strong and commercially capable Global Purchase Manager to handle procurement and sourcing activities for international mining and mineral processing operations across Latin America.

The role requires experience in mining, metals, EPC, heavy engineering, mineral processing plants, or industrial project environments. The candidate will be responsible for global sourcing, techno-commercial negotiations, vendor development, procurement coordination, and support for international mining projects.

Candidates comfortable working in remote mining environments and international project operations will be preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end procurement activities for mining and mineral processing projects.
• Source mining equipment, industrial spares, process plant components, consumables, and process chemicals from domestic and international markets.
• Develop and maintain global vendor and supplier networks.
• Perform techno-commercial evaluations and negotiate pricing, contracts, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
• Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, operations, and project teams for procurement planning and execution.
• Understand technical specifications, equipment requirements, and vendor documentation.
• Coordinate import/export activities and international procurement documentation.
• Support procurement planning for shutdowns, commissioning, and project execution activities.
• Monitor procurement schedules to ensure timely material availability.
• Maintain procurement MIS reports, vendor records, and commercial documentation.
• Visit mining sites and vendor locations across Latin America as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Mining, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 5–12 years of relevant experience in procurement, sourcing, or techno-commercial activities.
• Experience in Mining, Mineral Processing, Metals, EPC, Heavy Engineering, or Industrial Projects preferred.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Good understanding of industrial and mining equipment procurement.
• Familiarity with SAP / ERP procurement systems.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively across Latin America.
• Ability to work in fast-paced and remote project environments.
