Working closely with the Director of Logistics, this position supports procurement flow, inventory accuracy, shipping and receiving operations, and cross-functional coordination.</p> <p>This role is ideal for someone who is hungry to learn and improve processes, humble in team-based problem solving, and smart in navigating complex logistics challenges with strong judgment and communication. Success in this role requires attention to detail, adaptability, and a proactive mindset in a fast-paced aerospace environment.</p> <p><strong>Essential Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments — domestic and international — ensuring compliance with aerospace, defense, and export regulations (ITAR, EAR, FAA).</li> <li>Prepare, review, and maintain shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing lists, commercial invoices, and export paperwork.</li> <li>Manage carrier relationships and work with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and couriers to resolve shipment issues.</li> <li>Monitor delivery schedules and prioritize critical shipments to support production timelines.</li> <li>Process inbound receipts accurately and ensure proper inspection and routing.</li> <li>Maintain ≥99% inventory accuracy across all storage and staging locations.</li> <li>Track material availability and supplier performance to support procurement and production teams.</li> <li>Support receiving, inspection coordination, and material handling in compliance with quality standards.</li> <li>Conduct cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconcile discrepancies.</li> <li>Assist with warehouse layout optimization and material flow improvements.</li> <li>Maintain organized storage areas with FIFO and shelf-life controls.</li> <li>Enter and maintain logistics data in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).</li> <li>Ensure all records are audit-ready and compliant with internal and external requirements.</li> <li>Monitor logistics KPIs and report performance metrics.</li> <li>Support compliance with FAA, ITAR/EAR, and AS9100 standards.</li> <li>Maintain traceability documentation for serialized and flight-critical components.</li> <li>Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and quality teams.</li> <li>Communicate proactively with internal and external stakeholders.</li> <li>Escalate risks and constraints in a timely and solution-oriented manner.</li> <li>Support new product introductions (NPI) and material readiness.</li> <li>Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process standardization.</li> <li>Assist with reporting, audits, and special logistics projects.</li> <li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience:</strong></p> <p><strong>Required:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field — or equivalent experience.</li> <li>2+ years of logistics, shipping/receiving, or supply chain experience.</li> <li>Working knowledge of shipping methods and trade compliance (ITAR/EAR awareness a plus).</li> <li>Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.</li> <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams); ERP experience preferred.</li> <li>Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li> <li>Strong communication and collaboration skills.</li> <li>Demonstrated behaviors aligned with being humble (team-first mindset), hungry (self-motivated and proactive), and smart (effective communicator with strong judgment).</li> <li>S. citizenship or permanent residency required.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field.</li> <li>Experience in aerospace, defense, or regulated manufacturing.</li> <li>ERP/MRP experience (SAP, Oracle, Deltek Costpoint).</li> <li>Familiarity with ITAR/EAR compliance.</li> <li>Knowledge of AS9100 standards and traceability requirements.</li> <li>Experience with Lean, 5S, or continuous improvement methodologies.</li> <li>APICS CPIM certification or equivalent.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to lift and carry materials up to 40 pounds regularly and up to 60 pounds occasionally, with or without assistance.</li> <li>Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods during warehouse and production support activities.</li> <li>Ability to operate standard warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and carts (forklift experience a plus).</li> <li>Ability to work in both office and warehouse environments, including exposure to moderate noise levels and varying temperatures.</li> <li>Manual dexterity to handle small components, packaging materials, and documentation.</li> <li>Visual acuity to read labels, shipping documents, and computer screens accurately.</li> <li>Ability to sit for extended periods while performing administrative and data entry tasks.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Benefits Overview:</strong>&nbsp;<br>Heven AeroTech offers a competitive benefits package designed to support the health, financial security, and overall well-being of our employees and their families.
