As a Mobile Automation Test Engineer specializing in Appium, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of mobile applications on Android and iOS platforms. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining mobile automation test scripts using Appium
- Performing functional, regression, and integration testing for mobile applications
- Working closely with Android and iOS platforms for mobile application validation
- Developing and maintaining automation frameworks for mobile testing
- Executing test cases, analyzing results, and reporting defects
- Collaborating with development teams to ensure quality releases
- Integrating automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines
To excel in this role, you are expected to possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Strong experience in Mobile Testing and Automation, with a focus on Appium and hands-on scripting experience
- Experience in testing Android and iOS applications
- Knowledge of automation frameworks and test design
- Familiarity with Java, Python, or JavaScript for automation scripting
- Experience with API testing tools like Postman or Rest Assured
Additionally, it would be beneficial if you have:
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, etc.
- Knowledge of cloud-based mobile testing platforms
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments
