Junior Quality Control Associate

<p><strong>Schedule</strong>: Wednesday to Saturday - 7:00 AM onward (may vary based on business needs)&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Location</strong>: 4951 - 110 Avenue SE, Calgary, Alberta</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>As a Jr. Quality Control Associate you will have a direct role in maintaining our product quality control and food safety processes. Reporting to the FSQA Supervisor you will play a key role in ensuring our facility is able to make high-quality, safe, delicious meals for our customers.</p> <p><strong>What you will be doing:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide administrative support to the FSQA team</li> <li>Transfer data from a source to a document while maintaining high standards of legibility and accuracy.</li> <li>Perform product weight checks and inputting the data</li> <li>Ensure accuracy of documents</li> <li>Play a key role in maintaining product traceability</li> <li>Work in compliance with OH&amp;S acts and regulations.</li> <li>Use personal protective and safety equipment and clothing as directed by the employer and report workplace hazards and dangers to the supervisor or employer.</li> <li>All other duties, as assigned</li> </ul> <p><strong>At a minimum, you have:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong organizational skills.</li> <li>Detail oriented.</li> <li>Ability to communicate in English, both verbal and written</li> <li>Ability to prioritize, remain calm and alert, and write legibly while multitasking in a fast-paced and deadline oriented environment.</li> <li>Willing and able to push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs.</li> <li>Has experience with standing for prolonged periods of time including regular bending, twisting and walking</li> <li>Ability to work independently and within a team environment, in addition to having strong interpersonal skills</li> <li>Ability to work with a computer comfortable learning new technologies</li> <li>Willing and able to work in a refrigerated environment (0°C to 4°C)</li> <li>Previous experience or exposure (approximately 6 months) to Quality Control/Assurance processes in a food manufacturing environment is considered a strong asset.
