What You Will Be Doing:
You will lead and support a team of Engineering Technicians who play a critical role in Helion’s mechanical engineering development efforts. In this role, you will manage daily operations, prioritize technician workloads, and ensure safe, high-quality execution of system build and test activities. This is an onsite role based at our Everett, WA campus, reporting to one of our Production Managers.
You Will:
- Drive rapid hardware development by deeply understanding design challenges and identifying opportunities to solve them through build, test, and iteration
- Partner closely with engineers, technicians, fabricators, and managers to execute complex mechanical systems development and testing
- Mentor and develop technicians, reinforcing best practices and continuously raising technical standards and execution quality
- Plan and coordinate daily technician activities, including scheduling, task assignment, and performance monitoring
- Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations and protocols, including radiation protection and environmental standards
- Establish and maintain quality control practices that meet or exceed industry standards
- Maintain accurate documentation related to operations, inventory, and equipment maintenance
