Title: Material Coordinator

Pay Rate: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour (based on experience)

Reporting To: Operations / Asset Manager

Location: Singhampton, Fergus & Oakville, ON (travel across GTA & Southern Ontario required)

Employment Type: Full‑Time, Permanent

Work Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.)

Start Date: Mid‑April

Position Overview

HDP is currently seeking a Material Coordinator to support operations across all yards and regions in the GTA and Southern Ontario. This position plays a key role in material planning, inventory control, logistics, and yard/warehouse coordination in support of construction projects and back‑shop maintenance activities.

The successful candidate will be highly organized, safety‑focused, and solutions‑oriented, with experience coordinating materials, transportation, and inventory across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and support a positive Safety Culture, ensuring all Safety and Quality Policies are communicated, followed, and continuously improved
• Maintain an effective, compliant warehousing and yard inventory system
• Conduct cyclic inventory counts to ensure stock accuracy
• Receive, inspect, label, and store incoming materials
• Pack and ship materials to internal crews and project locations
• Manage storage and shipping of Dangerous Goods in compliance with regulations
• Support construction and production crews with event‑related material planning and preparation
• Ensure unused materials are returned to inventory through compliant processes
• Maintain physical inventory storage locations in yards and warehouses
• Coordinate transportation of materials and equipment between yards, vendors, and job sites
• Work with material buyers to support procurement activities
• Coordinate repair materials from internal stock or other company warehouses
• Maintain accurate inventory records and transactions within the ERP system
• Compile component change lists in accordance with customer requirements and internal procedures
• Participate in meetings and conference calls as required

Experience & Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma demonstrating competence in warehousing, logistics, purchasing, material planning, or supply chain management
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar material coordination, logistics, or warehouse role
• Current Dangerous Goods certification
• Valid Ontario driver’s licence
• Forklift licence (or ability to obtain)
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Positive, solutions‑oriented mindset with strong organizational skills
• High degree of internal and external customer focus
• Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities
