Field Technician/Construction worker

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Construction Laborer to join our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction projects, supporting skilled trades and contributing to the successful completion of building initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and familiarity with various construction techniques and tools.

Duties

• Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including material handling and site cleanup
• Support carpenters, masons, electricians, and other trades by providing necessary tools and materials
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
• Assist with concrete forming, finishing, and restoration tasks
• Install flooring, tiles, cabinets, and perform painting or caulking as needed
• Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to understand project requirements
• Support plumbing, electrical work, masonry, welding, and other specialized tasks under supervision
• Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure work environment
• Contribute to estimating project costs and timelines when required

Requirements

• Basic understanding of blueprint reading and schematics is preferred
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, concrete forming, carpentry, masonry, welding, plumbing, electrical work, or related skills is a plus
• Ability to operate heavy equipment is advantageous but not mandatory
• Knowledge of construction safety standards and practices
• Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
• Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude
• Reliable transportation to job sites; valid driver’s license is preferred
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various construction tasks

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
