Summit Square Management, a prominent Barrie & surrounding area property management group, is seeking a dedicated and professional individual to join the growing team as a Junior Accountant. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the Accountant is responsible for all accounting services for the group of companies. This company offers:

Key Responsibilities:
- Performing all functions relating to accounts payable
- Performing all functions relating to accounts receivable, including tenant receivables and monthly receivable postings
- Preparing bank reconciliations for all managed properties
- Posting and tracking work orders and tenant chargebacks
- Preparing and remitting property tax payments for all managed properties and internal companies
- Assisting with month-end and year-end procedures
- Assisting with preparing and maintaining all accounting and financial records for all managed properties and internal companies
- Assisting with all other administrative functions and special projects, as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in finance & accounting, or a related field
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role; prior property management work experience will be considered an asset
- A strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, practices, tax laws, and reporting requirements
- Must have a high degree of proficiency with Excel

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
