Budget: $5,000 - $6,000 per month
Application Requirement (Mandatory Work Sample):
To be considered, in your cover letter, you must include ONE relevant work sample that clearly demonstrates your ability in either:
Interview-driven narrative editing (preferred), OR Fast-paced / hype-style video editing
Your submission must include:
A video link (Google Drive, Vimeo, YouTube, etc.) A short written explanation (2–4 sentences) covering: Your role in the project Your approach to storytelling, pacing, and structure What did you focus on to make the video engaging
Important:
Submissions that only include basic talking-head edits, raw cuts, or generic social clips will not be considered .
Applications without a relevant work sample will be automatically disqualified.
We are specifically looking for editors with strong storytelling ability. Basic social media edits will not meet the bar for this role.
About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled, creative Video Editor who thrives on storytelling and understands how to shape compelling brand narratives. This role focuses on editing brand commercials, interviews, and short-form social content, with an emphasis on pacing, tone, and emotional impact. You’ll collaborate closely with producers and creatives to bring ideas to life across a wide range of styles and platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Edit brand videos, interviews, and narrative-driven content from raw footage to final delivery Craft engaging stories through strong pacing, music selection, and structure Create short-form social content optimized for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube when applicable Apply creative transitions and dynamic edits that elevate visual storytelling Perform color correction and color grading, ensuring consistency and polish across projects Incorporate motion graphics such as lower thirds, titles, and simple animations Adapt quickly to different editing styles, brand voices, and creative directions Organize and manage media efficiently across multiple projects and deadlines
Required Qualifications
2+ years of professional video editing experience Strong storytelling instincts, especially for brand and interview-based content Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve (Must) Solid understanding of color workflows, codecs, and delivery specs Experience editing short-form social content Working knowledge of motion graphics (After Effects or equivalent) Strong attention to detail and visual consistency
Preferred Skills
Experience editing commercial, tourism, lifestyle, or documentary-style content Comfortable working with feedback and collaborating with creative teams Understanding of current social media trends and editing styles Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
