Term: 8 weeks, 35 hours per week

The Role

Habitat Greater Ottawa is looking for a dynamic and highly motivated individual interested in the role of Office Administration Clerk.

The Office Administration Clerk will work under the supervision of the Homeowner Services Manager. This role is responsible for providing administrative support to the Habitat Greater Ottawa Homeowner Services Department as required.

Key Responsibilities

As the successful candidate you will:

  • Assist in maintaining and updating Homeowner Services application forms, evaluation criteria, policies and procedures and other administrative duties as required.
  • Support data collection of new and existing Habitat homeowners.
  • Create & organize files for newly accepted/approved homeowners.
  • Prepare and assemble online training binders for selected families.
  • Conduct other responsibilities as required or as availability allows.

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Must be between 15 and 30 years of age.
  • Must be a Canadian citizen.
  • Cannot hold more than one Canada Summer Jobs position per year.
  • Ability to inspire and promote Habitat for Humanity’s mission and vision within the community.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with exceptional communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Knowledge and respect of diverse religions and cultures.
  • Experience in non-profit, social housing or social services field is an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable vehicle an asset.
  • Bilingualism an asset (English/French).

Working Conditions

  • The successful candidate is expected to work/live in Ottawa and/or the surrounding area.
  • Full-time position, 35 hours per week, for 8 weeks.
  • Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate must be available to work onsite at 3 Iber Road. Parking is available at no cost.

The hourly wage for this role is $17.60 per hour.
