HOURS: In-Office Flexible hours - 40 hour week (flexible 7:00am - 5:00pm)

SALARY: $70,000-80,000 + +++ benefits FULL TIME PERMANENT

Manager of established, very successful, High Quality Precision Machine Parts Shop (manufacturing and fabrication) is seeking an Experienced Full Cycle Bookkeeper and Office Assistant. Must Have Full Cycle Bookkeeping/Accounting Functions, preferably QuickBooks Desktop with proficiency in Excel and Word. Must also have Office Admin experience and a willingness to Learn Business and Support Manager. Great Group – enjoy working with long term employees and machinists in a small office friendly environment.

Full Cycle Bookkeeping – Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable – bill entry, payments, vendor management
  • Accounts Receivable – invoicing, collections, reconciliations
  • Bi-Weekly Payroll 15-20 employees: process payroll/ensure compliance with applicable regulations (Payroll/Source deductions; HST filings, WSIB; EHT)
  • Prepare & file year-end slips including T4s and related summaries
  • Complete monthly, quarterly and year-end closing processes
  • Perform bank, credit card and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Record journal entries and adjustments as required; input Customer information
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records
  • Assist with Financial reporting and provide support for those reviews
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accountings standards & government regulations
  • Manage Employee Benefit Plan, maintain vacation, sick leave, attendance
  • Monthly Banking, VISA reconciliation, analysis of accounts and variances
  • Financial & Admin Support to Manager: emails, fax/photocopy, phone/messages

Qualification/Skills/Requirements

  • Good English communication skills, verbal and written; Adaptable; Flexible
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop; high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational & time management; work independently/meet deadlines
  • Ability to effectively liaise with employees, vendors and clients
  • Computer Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop, Excel and Word

Assets

  • 5 years+ relevant Bookkeeping Experience; 2-5 years Office Admin/Support
  • Asset: Bookkeeping experience in Machining and Tooling Industry
