Freelance Researcher – Veterinary Morphometry, CT Validation & Comparative Anatomy
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Freelance Researcher to conduct advanced morphometric and comparative anatomical analysis of Atlas (C1) and Axis (C2) vertebrae in Horses, Sheep, and Dogs using CT imaging and direct osteometric measurements. The role involves statistical validation, multivariate morphometric analysis, anatomical interpretation, and contribution to publication-quality research outputs.
Qualifications
Master’s, MVSc, PhD, or equivalent in:
- Veterinary Anatomy
- Veterinary Radiology
- Comparative Anatomy
- Morphometrics

- Zoology or related disciplines
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in veterinary morphometry, comparative anatomy, CT-based morphometric studies, or related research.
- Experience with reliability and agreement studies, measurement validation, multivariate statistics, and scientific manuscript preparation.

- Calculate morphometric and shape indices (Area, Aspect Ratio, Circularity, Ellipticity, Shape Factor, Linear Eccentricity).
- Perform comparative analyses among Horses, Sheep, and Dogs.
- Conduct PCA, clustering, and advanced multivariate analyses.
- Generate publication-quality figures, heatmaps, dendrograms, and statistical visualizations.
- Interpret anatomical and functional adaptations of vertebral morphology across species.
- Prepare statistical outputs, results tables, and manuscript-ready Results sections for publication in a high-impact veterinary journal.
