What You Will Do:
Our consultants on the Defense & Security AI & Data team help clients maximize the value of their data and automate business processes. This high performing team works with clients to implement the full spectrum of data analytics and data science, from data querying and wrangling to data engineering, to data visualization, dashboarding, and business intelligence (BI), to predictive analytics, machine learning (ML), and artificial intelligence (AI). Our services enable our clients to define their information strategy, enable mission critical insights and data-driven decision making, reduce cost and complexity, increase trust, and improve operational effectiveness. This individual will support of organizational and mission goals within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This role requires hands0technical expertise and strong communication skills. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines using Databricks, PySpark, SQL, and Delta Lake.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Databricks job failures, cluster performance issues, data quality gaps, and pipeline bottlenecks.
- Implement CI/CD practices for notebooks, workflows, and data jobs.
- Leading and reviewing, data cleaning scripts using tools such as Python
- Maintain and enhance dashboards, analytics solutions, and reporting tools used in operational and strategic decision-making.
- Develop dashboards using tools such as Qlik and Tableau.
- Collaborate with internal technical and functional teams and serve as a trusted advisor to government clients on data analytics, automation, modeling, and visualization initiatives.
- Focus on client services, while also supporting business development, internal firm initiatives, and ongoing professional development.
- Support business development (such as RFP, RFQ, and RFI responses and white papers), internal firm initiatives, and ongoing professional development.
- Operate successfully on remote projects as well as hybrid on-site projects in the DC metro area.
What You Will Need:
- Ability to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DHS Public Trust
- Bachelors Degree
- ONE (1) or more years of experience in data analyst, data engineering or business analysis
- Experience with Databricks.
