Job Description

GTA Adjusters has an opening for a Claims Service Admin Assistant to work at our Head Office in Burlington. We’re seeking a highly motivated applicant to provide administrative support services in claims creation and customer service. Your efforts will help ensure the smooth processing of claims and the delivery of exceptional service to our clients.

The role is Monday to Friday and requires flexibility to be available between 8:00am to 5:00pm EST.

GTA Adjusters Inc. is a stable, growing, long-term oriented, over 30-year-old established firm of claims professionals providing adjusting services Canada wide, to Canadian Insurer organizations.

The successful candidate will be organized, professional and confident in handling administrative tasks. He or She will bring strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and a customer focused mindset.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Assist with intake, setup and documentation of new claim files using a dedicated claims system
  • Maintain and update claims data entry and notes
  • Request police reports (ISB) and licensing applications
  • Support claims adjusters and managers as required
  • Communicate with clients in a professional and supportive manner
  • Accurately transcribe dictations
  • Support onboarding new team members
  • Assist with reception tasks
  • Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in claims handling support
  • Post -Secondary education or experience in administration, insurance or related fields is considered an asset.
  • Excellent reporting and business writing abilities
  • Attention to detail with a service-oriented, client-centric attitude
  • Ability to organize and manage digital and physical filling systems
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Stronge communication and relationship building skills
  • Sense of urgency and responsiveness to clients and customers
  • Experience with claims management software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills
