Job Title: Business Development IT Services
Location: Mohali
Role Overview:
We are seeking a performance-driven Business Development Manager responsible for generating new business opportunities, expanding client relationships, and driving revenue growth in the IT services domain. The candidate should possess strong consultative selling capabilities and experience in solution-based B2B sales across domestic and international markets.
The role requires a strategic mindset, strong client engagement skills, and the ability to collaborate with technical teams to convert business requirements into scalable technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development & Lead Generation
Identify and generate new business opportunities in IT services including custom software development, web/mobile applications, AI/ML solutions, cloud services, DevOps, blockchain, and enterprise solutions.
Prospect through LinkedIn, Upwork, email campaigns, cold outreach, referrals, and networking events.
Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline aligned with revenue targets.
- Client Acquisition & Sales Cycle Management
Manage end-to-end sales process: lead qualification, requirement analysis, proposal submission, negotiation, and deal closure.
Conduct client meetings, product presentations, and technical discussions with decision-makers (CTO, CIO, Founders, Procurement Heads).
Prepare commercial proposals, RFP responses, and pricing strategies.
- Account Management & Relationship Building
Develop long-term relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and upselling opportunities.
Coordinate with project managers and technical teams to ensure smooth onboarding and delivery.
Monitor client satisfaction and resolve escalations, if any.
- Market & Competitive Intelligence
Analyze industry trends, competitor positioning, and emerging technologies.
Identify niche markets and verticals (FinTech, HealthTech, Real Estate Tech, E-commerce, etc.) for expansion.
Provide feedback to leadership on product-market fit and pricing strategies.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, IT, or related field (MBA preferred).
3–8 years of experience in IT Sales / Business Development / Software Services Sales.
Proven experience in B2B sales within IT services or SaaS environment.
Strong understanding of
Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Agile methodology
Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Emerging technologies (AI/ML, Blockchain, IoT – preferred)
Experience in handling international clients (US, UK, Middle East, Australia preferred).
Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
