Job Summary

Greenlife has been in business for more than twenty years and we love working outdoors taking care of the plants in our wholesale nursery and landscaping for our residential clients.

We are seeking an experienced Accountant/Bookkeeper who loves numbers as much as we love plants! The financial software you will be using is integrated with our inventory system so you're accounting knowledge is crucial to understanding how the numbers are applied.

This position would suit someone who is retired, wanting part-time work, or who likes to travel in the winter as we are a seasonal business. If you prefer full-time, seasonal work we have lots of administrative or even nursery work!

We need you to work onsite some of the day. Once you are familiar with the priorities, remote work is available. We will work around your schedule.

Your skills include:

• Daily sales entry
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations and ledger adjustments
• Payroll; using Dayforce (formerly Ceridian Power Pay)
• HST and WSIB remittances
• Credit card reconciliation
• Progress billing and preparation of financial reports
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
• An aptitude to identify ways to enhance systems (helping us to constantly improve!)

Experience

• Proven experience as an Accountant or Bookkeeper
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, payroll processing, and financial reporting
• Experience with account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and account analysis
• Familiarity with bookkeeping tasks including managing accounts payable and receivable
• A teamwork approach to working with your colleagues in a busy environment

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
