Optometry Billing Specialist | End-to-End RCM | VSP Eyemed Officemat

Job Summary

Greenhive Billing Solutions is hiring an experienced Optometry Billing Specialist with strong expertise in end-to-end Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) for US healthcare. The candidate must have hands-on experience in Vision and Medical billing, including Payment Posting, with deep knowledge of VSP, Eyemed, and Officemate.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End RCM:

• Manage complete revenue cycle: eligibility, charge entry, coding, claim submission, AR follow-up, payment posting, and denial management
• Ensure clean claims and reduce rejections

Vision & Medical Billing:

• Handle Vision billing (VSP, Eyemed, Spectera, Davis Vision) and Medical billing
• Understand routine vs medical eye exams and billing workflows
• Perform accurate CPT, ICD-10, and modifier usage
• Handle coordination of benefits (COB)

Payment Posting:

• Post insurance and patient payments (ERA/EOB) accurately
• Handle both electronic (ERA) and manual posting
• Reconcile payments and identify discrepancies
• Process adjustments, write-offs, and underpayments
• Work closely with AR team for follow-ups

Optical Billing:

• Work closely with opticians for eyewear, lenses, and contact lens billing
• Manage billing for frames, lenses, and optical products

Insurance & Portals:

• Verify eligibility and benefits for vision and medical insurances
• Work on VSP and Eyemed portals for claim submission and tracking
• Handle co-pays, deductibles, and coverage checks

Accounts Receivable (AR):

• Perform AR follow-ups and reduce aging
• Handle denials, rejections, and underpayments
• Improve collections efficiency

Software:

• Hands-on experience with Officemate (mandatory)
• Experience with optometry EMR/EHR and clearinghouses

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in US Healthcare Medical Billing
• Strong Optometry / Vision Billing experience
• Payment Posting (ERA/EOB) experience
• Officemate software expertise
• Experience with VSP and Eyemed billing
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, modifiers, and optical billing
• End-to-end RCM experience

Preferred

• Experience handling multiple optometry practices
• Optical billing knowledge (frames, lenses, contacts)
