QA SOFTWARE TESTER I (HYBRID)

The Role in a Nutshell

Base Salary: CAD $68,000.00 - 85,000.00

We are looking for a QA Software Tester I with 1-2 years of experience in software quality assurance, mobile application testing and automation. In this role, you will be responsible for testing web and mobile applications to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and automated testing for web and mobile applications.
• Test mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms.
• Log and track defects in Jira, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
• Create and execute test plans and cases, ensuring software meets quality standards.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and QA team members to understand application features and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Appium, Cypress, Postman, and JavaScript.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily stand-ups as part of an Agile team.

Who We're Looking For

• 1-2 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on mobile and web applications.
• Strong skills in Appium, Cypress, and JavaScript for automation testing.
• Experience with manual testing (functional, regression, UI) on web and mobile applications.
• Experience with REST API testing and tools like Postman or RestAssured.
• Experience with version control systems such as GitHub.
• Familiarity with SDLC, Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with Jira for issue tracking and TestRail (or similar tools) for test case management.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to Have Qualifications

• Experience using or knowledge of AI models that can be utilized for automating tests.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (preferably in Azure DevOps).
