Position Overview

Join to apply for the UX Designer role at Gravie. At Gravie, our mission is to improve the way people access healthcare with innovative, consumer‑centric solutions. In this role, you’ll be the voice of the user—leading rapid research cycles, validating prototypes, and translating user feedback into clear, actionable insights that drive design decisions across our digital products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and execution of tactical usability research studies (both moderated and unmoderated) for digital prototypes spanning enrollment flows, management tools, and reporting dashboards.
  • Rapidly synthesize research findings and translate them into clear, prioritized design requirements for Senior Designers and Product Owners.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and Senior Designers to define research goals that align with key business outcomes and UX KPIs.
  • Design user flows and conceptual wireframes based on research insights and present validation plans to internal stakeholders.
  • Own the validation phase of the Dual‑Track Agile process, ensuring every major design decision is tested prior to handoff to Engineering.
  • Create and maintain an organized repository of research artifacts, user profiles, and synthesis documents.
  • Advocate for the user by effectively communicating research insights at scheduled intervals with internal teams.
  • Contribute to the organization’s Design System by validating component usability and ensuring consistency.
  • Stay current with modern research methodologies and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Ideally 3‑5 years of experience in UX design with a strong emphasis on user research and validation (portfolio should highlight research impact).
  • Expert proficiency in designing and leading usability research studies, including script writing, recruiting, moderating, and qualitative analysis.
  • Deep understanding of UX KPIs and how to validate design assumptions and measure project success.
  • Proficient with Figma for creating and modifying prototypes used in testing.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate user pain points and research findings.
  • Proven experience working in fast‑paced Agile or Dual‑Track Agile environments.
  • Strong critical and design thinking skills, with a passion for turning ambiguity into testable hypotheses.
  • A lifelong learner with genuine curiosity about user behavior.

Benefits & Perks

  • Compensation: Annual salary range of $81,300 - $135,500, plus eligibility for an annual bonus program and potential stock options.
  • Comprehensive health and wellness coverage, including alternative medicine.
  • Flexible PTO, up to 16 weeks paid parental leave, and paid holidays.
  • Robust retirement benefits with a 401(k) program, cell phone reimbursement, transportation perks, education reimbursement, and 1 week of paid paw‑ternity leave.
  • A meaningful, mission‑driven work environment with ample opportunities for career growth and an above‑average total rewards package.
