Senior BI Engineer / Analytics Engineer

Location: Bangalore (Onsite)

Role Overview

This is a senior role. You will work closely with CTO, engineering teams, business analysts, and product architects to design the data models and dashboards used by enterprise systems.

The role requires strong SQL capability, experience designing analytics models, and the ability

to translate operational workflows into meaningful KPIs and dashboards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and implement analytics models for operational systems such as:

• Warehouse Management Systems
• Forecasting and demand planning systems
• Supply chain and logistics platforms
• Workforce and HR systems
• Smart City Systems
• Defence and Government systems

Develop and maintain reporting datasets using PostgreSQL views and materialised views.

Design efficient data models that support large operational datasets.

Write and optimise complex SQL queries for analytics workloads.

Build dashboards and reports using Superset.

Work with backend developers to structure reporting schemas and rollup tables.

Define KPI frameworks and analytics structures aligned with real operational processes.

Ensure dashboards are accurate, intuitive, and performant.

Support embedding analytics directly inside enterprise applications built on platform.

Assist product teams and customers in defining analytical requirements.

Continuously optimise dashboard performance and data query efficiency.

Required Skills

Minimum 6 years experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Analytics Engineering roles.

Strong SQL skills with deep understanding of joins, aggregations, window functions, and query optimisation.

Experience designing data models for analytics including fact tables, dimension tables, and rollup structures.

Hands on experience with anyone of the BI tools such as:

• Power BI
• Tableau
• Apache Superset (preferred)
• Looker or similar platforms

Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.

Experience designing operational dashboards and KPI frameworks.

Ability to translate business requirements into analytics models and dashboards.

Strong problem solving ability and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Apache Superset.

Experience designing reporting schemas and materialised views.

Experience working with enterprise systems such as ERP, WMS, logistics, or retail systems.

Basic knowledge of data pipelines and ETL processes.
