Job Description
Our client in Cambridge is looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join their Human Resources Team in a full-time role!
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process through the development of recruiting plans, use of sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing coordinating/implementing college recruiting initiatives and other creative recruiting ideas!
The end goal to recruit the BEST possible candidates for the organization!

Note: This will be a contract to potential permanent role for the right person.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire recruiting process including working with Human Resources and Managers to review available positions, conducting pre-screen interviews, arranging interviews with Managers, completing background checks, abstracts check, reference checks, and preparing offer letters.
- Liaises with management and Human Resources to identify recruiting needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills.
- Contact applicants to inform them of the status of their employment possibilities, consideration, and selection.
- Inform potential applicants about facilities, operations, benefits, and job or career opportunities in organizations.
- Hire applicants and authorize paperwork assigning them to positions.
- Collect all required Background Check Authorization Forms, to conduct reference and background checks on applicants.
- Evaluate recruitment and selection criteria to ensure conformance to professional, statistical, and testing standards, recommending revision as needed.
- Recruit applicants for open positions, conduct presentations about the organization and job opportunities; set up, and work at job fairs.
- Advise management on implementing recruiting and retention programs and develop and execute recruiting plans.
- Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and employees for active recruiting and passive recruiting.
- Efficiently and effectively fill open positions and conduct regular follow-up with managers regarding effectiveness of recruiting plans
- Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need.
- Maintain regular contact with probable future candidates.
- Attend career fairs and provide information on company, facilities, job opportunities to potential applicants, as necessary.
- Perform other special projects as assigned.
Required Skills
- At least One (1) year of experience in full-cycle recruitment is a MUST
- Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Human Resources management required or equivalent experience
- Maintain current knowledge of Pay Equity, human rights and employment standards guidelines and laws.
- Experience in automobile dealership preferred
- Experience managing an HRIS system
- Experience in full cycle recruitment is an asset
- Strong technical skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Exceptional communicator highly skilled in active listening, conflict resolution and change management
- Operates with the highest level of integrity, accountability, initiative, and positive attitude
- Commitment to building and cultivating relationships
