Web Development Opportunity-Grace Helping Hands

Grace Helping Hands is currently seeking two experienced web developers to join our volunteer team for website development and ongoing maintenance. This is an excellent opportunity to use your professional skills to make a meaningful impact in our community.

Position: Volunteer Web Developer & Maintenance Specialist

Commitment: Flexible schedule, estimated 2-4 hours per week. We ask adult volunteers to commit for up to 1 year. For students and volunteers under 18 years old, we ask volunteers to commit for up to 6 months

Duration: Minimum One year commitment preferred

Location: Remote

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the Grace Helping Hands website
• Ensure website functionality, security, and optimal performance
• Implement responsive design for mobile and desktop platforms
• Integrate donation platforms and volunteer management systems
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting as needed
• Collaborate with our communications and fundraising teams
• Regular updates to content, events, and grant information

Qualifications

• Professional experience in web development
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web frameworks
• Experience with content management systems (WordPress, Drupal, or similar)
• Knowledge of web security best practices
• Familiarity with hosting platforms and domain management
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
• Passion for nonprofit work and community service
