About the Role

We are looking for a talented and creative Web Designer. In this role, you will be responsible for designing visually compelling, user-friendly websites/web pages and digital experiences that align with our brand identity and business goals. You will collaborate closely with developers, marketers, and stakeholders to bring ideas to life from concept to launch.

Your Impact:

  • Assess and redesign legacy web layouts, modernizing the look, feel, and functionality of our custom e-commerce platform while preserving brand integrity and working within technical constraints.
  • Design and prototype responsive web pages, landing pages, and web applications using modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Leadpages).
  • Partner with stakeholders to fulfill web design requests efficiently, ensuring accuracy and a high standard of quality. Translate larger-scale business requirements into wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes before implementation.
  • Work with Marketing and Developers to maintain a consistent visual language, including typography, color systems, iconography and reusable component libraries.
  • Analyze and optimize the customer journey across ecommerce touchpoints, working with Marketing to apply conversion-focused design principles to improve engagement, usability, and sales performance.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
  • Conduct user testing and iterate on designs based on feedback, analytics, and compliance standards.
  • Optimize designs for performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Stay current with design trends, tools, and best practices in web and UX design.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Portfolio demonstrating a range of web design projects.
  • 4+ years of professional experience in web design or a related field.
  • Proven experience redesigning and modernizing legacy web layouts, with the ability to balance contemporary design standards with existing brand and/or technical constraints of a highly custom platform.
  • Solid grasp of UX principles, information architecture, and user-centered design.
  • Experience optimizing the customer journey across ecommerce websites, with a strong understanding of conversion-focused design principles and user flow best practices.
  • Strong understanding of HTML/CSS, JavaScript, PHP fundamentals and how designs are translated into functional code on custom backends.
  • General experience with front-end scripting languages.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for clean, purposeful design.

The Details:

  • Hybrid position requiring three (3) days a week onsite in Reston, VA.
  • Hours: 8:00 am- 5:00 pm
