Job Description
Head of Payroll - Hospitality Group - Hybrid
A growing, multi-location organization is seeking an experienced Payroll Director to lead payroll operations for a large, diverse workforce. This is a high-impact role supporting a dynamic environment with both hourly and salaried employees across multiple locations.
This position will oversee end-to-end payroll processing, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner cross-functionally with internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring experience in high-volume, multi-location payroll environments and a strong ability to improve processes, ensure accuracy, and support operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle payroll processing for a multi-location workforce
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Oversee payroll adjustments including bonuses, retro pay, and off-cycle payments
- Manage garnishments, deductions, and related payroll processes
- Support year-end activities including tax reporting and filings
- Conduct payroll audits to ensure accuracy and identify process improvements
- Partner with internal teams on payroll reconciliation and reporting
- Respond to and resolve payroll-related inquiries from internal stakeholders
- Maintain and optimize payroll systems and data integrity
Qualifications
- 5+ years of payroll experience in a multi-location environment
- Strong knowledge of payroll compliance and regulatory requirements
- Experience processing payroll for hourly, gratuity-eligible and salaried employees
- Proficiency with payroll systems and reporting tools
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability
- High level of accuracy, organization, and confidentiality
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
