Straight Truck Driver - DZ License

Overview

Good Man Express is currently looking for a reliable and experienced DZ Driver to join our growing team.

Duties

• Safely operate trucks for local freight deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Load and unload freight using pump truck or other heavy equipment as needed
• Inspect vehicles regularly for maintenance needs and perform basic repairs or coordinate repairs with maintenance teams
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and documentation for each trip
• Assist with the securement of cargo to prevent damage during transit
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance

Requirements

• Valid DZ license with a clean driver’s abstract and CVOR
• Minimum 3 years of recent, verifiable, insured DZ driving experience
• Proven 3 year experience in commercial driving
• Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and freight handling
• Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual tasks associated with loading/unloading freight
• Excellent communication skills and reliability in meeting delivery deadlines
• Ability to work independently while following company policies and safety standards
