English Teacher/Instructor (Grades 1-12) at Education Centre

Go Beyond Academy is a comprehensive education centre in Richmond Hill providing high-quality academic and arts programs. We are looking for dedicated and professional English Instructors to join our team.

In this role, you will help students from Kindergarten through Grade 12 develop essential literacy skills, ranging from early phonics and reading comprehension to senior-level essay writing and literary analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Instruction: Deliver engaging lessons focused on reading, writing, grammar, and communication skills aligned with the Ontario curriculum.
• Senior Support: Assist high school students with academic writing, critical thinking, and preparation for university-level English requirements.
• Engagement: Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that builds student confidence.
• Assessment: Track student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them achieve their academic goals.
• Collaboration: Work with the Go Beyond team to maintain high educational standards and communicate effectively with parents.

Qualifications

• Education: Post-secondary degree in English, Education, Child & Youth Work, or a related field. Ontario Certified Teachers (OCT) and current university students in Education or English programs are highly encouraged to apply.
• Experience: Previous teaching or tutoring experience, particularly with youth in an academic setting.
• Skills: Exceptional communication and literacy skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to various age groups.
• Personal Traits: Reliable, professional, and genuinely passionate about working with children and adolescents.

Work Schedule

• Spring (May 15 – June): Afternoon and weekend hours.
• Summer (July – August): Full-day shifts (Monday–Friday) with continued weekend availability.
• Fall (September onwards): Transition back to afternoon and weekend hours.
