  • You are available to travel/work daily 8am to 5 pm, minimum 2 days per week
  • You have access to transport, preferably your own vehicle

  • You must be able to communicate fluently in English

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Engineer to join our team. As an IT Field Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting services to our clients. This is a hands-on role that requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.

Duties

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients in the field
  • Communicate professionally, follow SOPs, and promptly transmit job documentation.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software for computers, servers, POS/kiosks, printers, and networking equipment.
  • Resolving general IT issues related to jobs.
  • Conduct system upgrades and updates as necessary.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users as needed.
  • The technician requires their own transport.
  • Must have at least 2 years PC/laptop/server/POS/kiosk/network repair and installation experience.

Skills

  • Strong technical skills with experience in software and hardware troubleshooting and installation
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office, email and ticketing systems for documenting support activities
  • Familiarity with MacOS, Linux, and Windows operating systems
  • Knowledge of LAN and network connectivity troubleshooting
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Industry relevant certifications: CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certifications, Cisco Certifications.
  • Be able to pass a background check. Legally allowed to work in Canada.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual, Freelance

Pay: $25.00-$45.00 per hour
