Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Engineer to join our team. As an IT Field Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting services to our clients. This is a hands-on role that requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Duties
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients in the field
- Communicate professionally, follow SOPs, and promptly transmit job documentation.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software for computers, servers, POS/kiosks, printers, and networking equipment.
- Resolving general IT issues related to jobs.
- Conduct system upgrades and updates as necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users as needed.
- The technician requires their own transport.
- Must have at least 2 years PC/laptop/server/POS/kiosk/network repair and installation experience.
Skills
- Strong technical skills with experience in software and hardware troubleshooting and installation
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office, email and ticketing systems for documenting support activities
- Familiarity with MacOS, Linux, and Windows operating systems
- Knowledge of LAN and network connectivity troubleshooting
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Industry relevant certifications: CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certifications, Cisco Certifications.
- Be able to pass a background check. Legally allowed to work in Canada.
Job Types: Part-time, Casual, Freelance
Pay: $25.00-$45.00 per hour
