About the Role
Reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Affairs Canada, Glencore is looking for a Digital Communications Lead to shape and elevate our digital presence across the country.
This is a high-impact role for a bilingual (English/French) creative storyteller and strategic thinker who thrives at the intersection of content, technology and corporate reputation. You’ll lead the development and execution of engaging digital content and campaigns across social media, public websites, and our corporate intranet (The Core), helping to strengthen our brand, connect with employees and amplify key business priorities.
What You’ll Do
Lead Digital Strategy & Channels
Develop and execute an integrated digital communications strategy aligned with corporate priorities
Oversee social media, public websites and intranet channels to ensure consistency, quality and impact
Create Compelling Content
Own end-to-end content production: concepting, scripting, filming, editing and publishing
Produce high-quality video, photography, graphics and interactive content across formats
Manage Social Media Presence
Lead content planning, publishing and community management across platforms (LinkedIn, X, Facebook, YouTube and emerging channels)
Manage paid campaigns, performance tracking and social listening
Own Website & Intranet Experience
Manage website content, structure, SEO, accessibility and continuous optimization
Lead The Core (intranet) editorial strategy to drive employee engagement and knowledge sharing
Collaborate Across Canada
Partner with asset-based digital channels and managers and other internal stakeholders to align messaging and amplify local content
Provide guidance, tools and training to ensure strong, consistent storytelling
Drive Performance & Innovation
Define KPIs and track performance across channels, delivering actionable insights
Pilot new formats, tools and technologies to enhance engagement and reach
Governance & Support
Establish editorial standards, brand voice and content governance
Provide digital communications support during issues or crisis situations
Ensure compliance with corporate, legal and data privacy standards
What You Bring
5+ years of experience in digital communications, content marketing or multimedia production
Strong video production skills with a portfolio showcasing storytelling across formats
Experience managing agencies or leading cross-functional projects
Proficiency with creative tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro or equivalent)
Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Sitecore, SharePoint) and basic HTML/CSS
Strong knowledge of social media tools (e.g., LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Hootsuite, Sprout, Brandwatch)
Analytical mindset with experience using tools like Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics
Excellent writing, editing and communication skills in both English and French are required to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
