Job Summary

As an Associate Software Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of systems and applications within a FullStack environment. Utilizing Python and React, you will analyze existing programs and formulate logic for new systems—devising procedures, preparing flowcharts, and performing rigorous coding and debugging. You will leverage SQL for data-driven decision-making and utilize GitHub and CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless deployment and system reliability. Beyond technical execution, you will prepare system documentation, recommend improvements to development standards, and participate in cross-functional project teams to ensure customer requirements are met through efficient, high-quality software solutions

Job Description

  • Experience Required: 1 to 3 years (Junior/Entry Level)
  • Education Desired: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field)
  • Job Responsibilities
  • Use professional concepts and apply Giant Eagle policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
  • Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data analysis requires review of a variety of factors. Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
  • Receive general directions on routine work and detailed instructions on new projects, maintaining a continuous improvement mindset to optimize workflows.
  • Take charge of the installation, configuration, testing, and documentation of custom-developed (Python/React) and vendor-packaged applications.
  • Provide development for enhancements and reporting, utilizing SQL to extract and manipulate data effectively.
  • Maintain and expand proficiency in various coding languages and modern DevOps tools, including GitHub and CI/CD pipelines
  • Work closely with development team to design, test and implement business solutions.
  • Complete all facets of unit, system, regression and parallel testing for the applications.
  • Produce management reports and documentation accurately and on time using Microsoft Office and data visualization skills.
  • Maintain cognizance of industry trends and new products to evaluate opportunities for achieving maximum effective usage of Company's investment in information technology.
  • Prevent unauthorized access to information, assets or restricted areas and report any attempts.
  • Demonstrate solid written and verbal communication skills when interacting with both IT and non-IT personnel.
  • Report any kinds of problems to the appropriate management in a timely manner.
  • When required, assist in providing 24x7 support to our business customers.
  • Assist other Team Members as required to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Participate in all education and on-the-job training programs as recommended by IS management.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

The hiring range for this position is $809900.00– $983450.00 per hour/year. This range represents the anticipated base pay for this role. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and location.
