Newly Licensed Az Line Haul Drivers

GFL Environmental is looking for newly licensed AZ Line Haul Drivers to participate in our Driver Development Training Program and support our solid waste line of business.

Job Description Driver Development Training Program:One on one training with a skilled driver coachEight-weeks of paid, industry specific training in Ayr, ONTraining focuses on backing skills, local/city/highway driving, safe loading and delivering techniquesCompany driver position following successful completion of trainingKey Responsibilities:Daily runs to MichiganTransport solid waste from the transfer stations to various landfillsInspect vehicles daily for mechanical items and safety issues to ensure safe operation and public safetyReport vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, equipment damage and property damage when applicableDocument and log driving/break periods in Kilometers on Daily Trip Report and E-logs in accordance with DOT & MTO RegulationsRetain copies of fuel, and border toll receipts, as well as pick-up and delivery tickets to complete daily paperworkComply with applicable legislation including safe operation of vehicles, carriage of goods, Hours of Service, occupational health and safety, customs and immigration, weights and dimensionsApproximately 600Km-1100km a day, 10-14 hour runsHome nightlyKnowledge, Skills and Competencies:Valid AZ LicenseMust be able to cross US border in a CMV dailyAbility to provide a clean Driver’s Abstract, CVOR Abstract, criminal check and DOT regulated drug testing.Great attitude and work ethicKnowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulationsHigh level of personal integrityEagerness to learn and develop skillsDedicated and strong work ethicProfessional/mature demeanor under stressful situationsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentKey Offerings:Home every dayDeferred Profit Sharing & Group Retirement Savings Plan with ability to purchase GFL stocks100% Company-paid employee benefits programLate model tractors and trailersDedicated equipmentExperienced E-log fleetCompetitive Pay RatesLane PayPaid trainingBi-weekly and quarterly incentivesOptional Saturday shifts#GFLTALENT We thank you for your interest.
