Position Description Summary:
The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates, an independent, non-profit academic clinical practice group affiliated with The George Washington University, is seeking a full-time academic Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to join the growing Heart Failure/Mechanical Circulatory Support Section of the Department of Medicine.
This position is expected to begin as early as February 1, 2025.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include providing excellent patient care to hospitalized patients and consultations for outpatients, including performing right heart catheterizations and endomyocardial biopsies, teaching residents, fellows, and medical students, and maintaining an active scholarly program.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must be board-eligible/board-certified in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplantation and licensed in the District of Columbia by the time of appointment. Applicants must have demonstrated skills in the area of advanced heart failure and mechanical circulatory assist devices, including complex heart failure management; pre- and post-VAD management, including other temporary mechanical circulatory support devices; and cardiac intensive care management.
Advertised Salary:
$287,000 to $400,000
