The Cloud Software Developer is a key role in an Agile development team engaged in the modernization of enterprise‑class software applications. The developer will work in coordination with team members, fellow Agile units, and other stakeholders to build, migrate, expand, automate, and sustain a large, multi‑tenant cloud platform/enterprise. They will leverage their experience in cloud software development to support the development of an exciting new solution.

As a Cloud Software Developer, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our federal customers. You will play a crucial role via the following:
- Designs, architects, deploys and maintains cloud solutions
- Maintains the integrity and security of systems
- Supports and develops automation
- Develops in languages such as Bash, Python, Node.js, and React.js
- Maintains/enhances knowledge of AWS cloud services
- Composes and maintains standard operating procedures and work instructions, knowledge articles, et al
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Cloud Software Developer must have:
Education
- Technical Training, Certificate, or Degree required
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Computer Engineering or relevant experience
Experience
- 7+ years of total IT experience with 5+ years of related experience with AWS cloud computing required
Required Skills
- Proficiency in the following languages:
Bash, Python, Node.js, and React.js
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and event‑driven architecture
- Linux OS experience
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (including UI/UX designers, product managers, and other developers) to deliver high‑quality solutions
- Design and implement data processing and integration solutions using ETL tools
- Experience with application using serverless architecture and/or containerization
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated experience delivering presentations to diverse audiences at various levels of an organization
Security Clearance Level: Must be able to pass a background check to obtain a position of Public Trust.
Must be US Person (Green Card Holder, US Permanent Resident Alien, Refugee, Asylee, or US Citizen)

The likely salary range for this position is $128,039 - $173,229. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
