Assistant Engineer - QMS is responsible for establishing an efficient and continually improving quality systems as per AS 9100-D and internal GE QMS norms. Own & drive key Quality system deliverables in the projects including analysis & certifying aviation hardware per internal quality requirement.

Our Multi-modal Manufacturing Facility (MMF) in Pune plays a crucial role in manufacturing key aerospace components, supporting not only India’s defense and commercial sectors but also global aviation supply chains. Role Overview:

• The position will report to the Site QMS Leader
• Able to understand basic QMS requirements
• Able to maintain documents as per AS9100
• Basic awareness on AS9100
• Able to interact with Shop floor for problem solving
• Able to create awareness on QMS and Quality culture throughout shop floor.
• Able to comply with the annual training plan.
• Able to do continuous improvement through QMS which helps to reduce defects and improve productivity.
• Capability to strengthen QMS in the shop floor
• Able to perform internal audit.
• Able to conduct training's to shop floor employees.
• Able to maintain stamp control.
• Work closely with manufacturing / production & Quality control teams to develop and implement AS 9100 procedures & systems & support driving end-to-end production.
• QMS & process/system improvisation projects.
• Understanding of site quality QMS procedures & policies.
• Contribute to continual improvement through audit programs, assessment / of various non-conformance and driving corrective actions identified through Root Cause Analysis.
• Providing training, and support to shop operations, design, and manufacturing to assure effective Quality Assurance.

The Ideal Candidate:

Ideal candidate shall have good understanding of AS9100 and QMS requirements and should have worked in aviation environment. Understand the Quality requirements ,Specification etc. should understand the problem solving methods such as 3 x 5 why, 8D and Kaizens etc. Certified Internal Auditor as per AS9100 could advantages.

Required Qualifications:

• First Class Diploma in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering/Electrical
• 4 + Years of Experience in Quality
• Working knowledge of AS 9100 and Quality requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to analyse problems, identify root causes and provide solutions
• Strong hands-on experience in performing QMS activities and document control
• Ability to handle diverse activities simultaneously and Ability to work in a matrix organization.
• Strong interpersonal skills with good oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of Aviation / Aerospace standards
• Knowledge of Basic Lean and Quality tools.
