🚀 Role Overview

Gamix Labs is looking for a talented Senior Spine Animator & VFX Artist to craft high-quality 2D character animations and visually stunning real-time effects.

This role requires a strong grasp of animation fundamentals, rigging workflows, and real-time VFX pipelines for game production.

🎬 Key Responsibilities

Spine 2D Animation

Create polished 2D character & creature animations using Spine 2D

Animate gameplay actions (idle, walk, attack, skills, UI interactions, etc.)

Handle rigging, mesh deformation, and animation setup

Optimize animation assets for mobile & PC platforms

✨ Real-Time VFX

Design and implement real-time effects (combat, magic, environment, UI)

Create & optimize particle systems in Unity (VFX Graph / Shuriken) or Unreal (Niagara)

Develop shaders and materials for stylized, dynamic effects

Ensure performance optimization across multiple platforms

🤝 Collaboration & Leadership

Collaborate with Designers, Developers, and Art teams

Maintain visual consistency aligned with project style guides

Mentor junior artists and contribute to improving production pipelines

✅ Required Skills & Qualifications

4+ years of experience in game development

Strong expertise in Spine 2D

Hands-on experience with Unity or Unreal Engine

Solid understanding of animation principles

Knowledge of particle systems, shaders & real-time rendering

Strong optimization and problem-solving skills

Portfolio / Demo Reel is mandatory

⭐ Preferred Qualifications

Experience in mobile game development

Technical art exposure (basic scripting is a plus)

Prior leadership or mentoring experience
