Web Designer/Developer – Fast-Launch Service Websites

Job Description

We build and test government document and compliance service websites think done-for-you filing services, travel document preparation, and similar niches.

We move fast, launch lean, and iterate based on results.

We need a designer/developer who can take a concept and turn it into a live, conversion-ready website quickly. You'll be building new sites from scratch, not maintaining existing ones.

What You'll Be Doing:

Building new service websites from scratch based on our briefs

These are simple, focused sites typically one application tied to one government form

Designing and developing clean, credible, conversion-focused layouts

Building out admin dashboards for internal operations application lookups, submission corrections, refund processing, file/order management, and similar back office tooling

Following patterns and structure from our existing sites so new builds feel consistent

You should be comfortable working across the full stack. We are not looking to coordinate between multiple people.

Ideal Candidate:

Full-stack you own the project from design to deployment

Can take a simple concept and ship a polished, fully functional site in under a month

Understands conversion-focused design: clear CTAs, trust signals, urgency, simple order flows

Can build internal admin tooling alongside the customer-facing site

Has worked with sensitive user data and understands basic security practices

Self-directed you get a brief, you build it, you deliver

Nice to Have

Experience building service sites in legal, compliance, travel, or gov-adjacent niches

Shopify experience (we have adjacent e-commerce businesses)

Engagement:

Ongoing. We have a pipeline of new sites to build and need someone we can go back to repeatedly. Fast turnaround is a must a full site should be completable in under a month.

Examples of any admin dashboards or internal tooling you've built

Your typical timeline for standing up a new site from a brief

Hourly or per-project rate

Contract duration of 3 to 6 months. with 40 hours per week.
