TaskPulse: Smart Android Manager

The objective is to develop a lightweight Android utility dedicated to task management.

Its core strength lies in reliable notifications and reminders—covering everyday to‑dos, recurring payment alerts, and simple order‑processing follow‑ups—optimized for devices running Android 8.0 and above.

Scope of Work

Build a complete Android application in Kotlin (Java acceptable if preferred) using Android Studio.

Design clean, Material Design–compliant interfaces for adding, editing, and browsing tasks.

Implement local persistence with Room, structured to allow seamless future integration with cloud sync (e.g., Firebase).

Develop a robust reminder engine that:

Schedules push notifications precisely.

Survives device reboots.

Supports recurring events such as monthly payment reminders.

Add tagging/status flags to enable filtering (e.g., tasks marked "order processed").

Optimize startup time and APK size to ensure the app remains small and responsive.

Acceptance Criteria

Users can create, edit, delete, and tag tasks.

Notifications trigger exactly at the scheduled time, even after device restarts.

Payment‑reminder and order‑processing tags are visible in filter views.

Release APK passes Play Console pre‑launch report with no critical issues.

Deliverables

Full Android Studio project with clear, well‑commented code.
