Job Description

I am looking for an experienced Tableau developer / data visualization specialist to create an example analytics dashboard for a classroom project.

This is a short-term engagement with a fast turnaround (delivery required by February 20).

You will be provided with CSV data files and written project instructions. The goal is to build a professional, shareable dashboard that demonstrates best practices in data visualization and analytics storytelling.

Project Overview

The project involves building an interactive dashboard using search behavior data from an AI-powered real estate platform. The dashboard should help users understand trends and insights related to customer search activity and preferences.

The assignment is based on a real-world business scenario where reporting capabilities need to be restored following infrastructure changes, allowing stakeholders to analyze buyer search behavior and trends.

Scope of Work

The dashboard should:

Be built in Tableau (Tableau preferred)

Use provided CSV datasets

Be interactive and shareable

Include:

Filtering by account

Date-based filtering

At least four meaningful visualizations

Follow strong dashboard design and usability best practices

Additionally, the deliverable must include:

A short written summary describing:

Your analytical approach

Assumptions made

Any data challenges encountered

Key trends or insights discovered

Deliverables

Tableau workbook (.twbx preferred)

Brief written explanation of analysis approach (1–2 pages or equivalent)

Timeline

Hard deadline:

February 20

Project should begin immediately upon hire.

Ideal Candidate

Strong Tableau dashboard development experience

Experience creating business-focused analytics dashboards

Ability to work quickly while maintaining clean design standards

Comfortable working with CSV data models

Strong communication and ability to interpret written requirements

Contract duration of less than 1 month.
