Senior Azure Infrastructure Engineer

We are a growing U.S.-based IT consulting and managed services company seeking a highly experienced Azure Infrastructure Engineer to assist with ongoing architecture, automation, and enterprise infrastructure projects.

This role requires someone who is not just a cloud engineer, but someone with strong traditional infrastructure expertise as many of our projects involve hybrid environments, enterprise Windows infrastructure, and identity services.

You must be comfortable working across Azure cloud, on-prem infrastructure, and hybrid identity environments.

Core Responsibilities

• Design and implement Azure infrastructure using Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
• Build and maintain Azure IaaS environments
• Deploy and manage Windows Server environments in Azure
• Design and support Active Directory and hybrid identity architectures
• Configure Azure AD / Entra ID / AD Connect environments
• Implement secure networking, DNS, and hybrid connectivity
• Assist with infrastructure modernization and migration projects
• Provide architecture guidance for enterprise infrastructure environments

Required Technical Experience

• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure (IaaS)
• Advanced Terraform experience for Azure deployments
• Deep knowledge of Windows Server administration
• Strong expertise with Active Directory
• Experience with hybrid AD / Azure AD environments
• Solid understanding of DNS, networking, and enterprise infrastructure
• Experience designing secure, production-grade infrastructure environments

Highly Preferred

• Azure architecture certifications
• Experience with hybrid migrations to Azure
• Experience with enterprise MSP or consulting environments
• Familiarity with PowerShell automation

Important

This role requires someone who understands enterprise infrastructure fundamentals, not just cloud platforms. Many of our projects involve Active Directory, Windows Server, networking, and hybrid identity environments.

Candidates who are purely DevOps engineers without deep infrastructure experience will not be a fit.

We are looking for someone who can become a long-term infrastructure partner and assist with complex architecture and automation projects as they arise.
