Senior Angular/.NET Developer to Build Ad-Hoc Reporting Builder

We are building a modern ad-hoc reporting builder inside an existing enterprise SaaS platform .

The system is built with:

Angular (latest version)

PrimeNG UI framework

.NET Web API (C#)

SQL Server

We are looking for a highly experienced full-stack developer who can help implement a self-service report builder similar to the report tools found in modern SaaS platforms.

This project is well-defined with a clear scope and UI design already prepared. The goal is to deliver a high-quality but focused v1 within ~8–10 weeks.

WHAT WE ARE BUILDING

Users will be able to:

• Select a dataset (Permits, Inspections, Fees, etc.)
• Choose fields (columns)
• Add filters
• Apply grouping and summary calculations
• Preview report results in a grid
• Select a report template
• Add logo, title, and text
• Export reports to PDF or Excel
• Save reports and run them again later

The UI will use a three-panel report builder layout:

• Left panel – Build Report (dataset, fields, filters, grouping, summaries)
• Center panel – Live preview of results
• Right panel – Layout & output settings

The backend will query versioned reporting views in SQL Server through a controlled reporting API.

AI-Assisted Development Requirement

We are specifically looking for a developer who is comfortable using AI coding assistants such as to accelerate development.

We expect the developer to:

use (or similar tools) to help generate boilerplate code

use AI tools to assist with:

Angular components

TypeScript models

.NET API scaffolding

SQL query generation logic

iterate quickly with AI-assisted development cycles

This project is structured in a way that benefits significantly from AI-assisted coding workflows, so experience using these tools effectively is important.
