Python Developer for AI-Powered Product – LLM API Integration

We're building an AI-driven product and need a Python developer who can own the backend from API integration through deployment.

The core of this project involves connecting our application to multiple LLM providers — specifically OpenAI, Claude (Anthropic), and OpenRouter — so the system can route requests, manage responses, and handle fallbacks across models.

You'll be building the integration layer using FastAPI or Flask, working closely with our product team to shape how AI features behave in production.

Beyond the AI integration piece, we need someone comfortable with AWS infrastructure and DevOps. Think CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes, monitoring, and keeping things stable as we scale. If you've deployed AI-powered services on AWS before, that's exactly the kind of experience we're after.

What you'll be doing:

Building and maintaining API integrations with OpenAI, Claude, and OpenRouter

Designing backend services in Python (FastAPI/Flask) that power our AI features

Setting up and managing AWS infrastructure — EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, or equivalent services depending on architecture decisions

Implementing CI/CD workflows, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and deployment automation

Working with PostgreSQL for data persistence

Collaborating on prompt engineering and LLM response handling as needed

What we're looking for

Strong Python development experience with FastAPI or Flask

Hands-on experience integrating LLM/AI APIs into production applications

Solid AWS background with real DevOps experience (not just using the console)

Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and infrastructure-as-code practices

Experience with PostgreSQL

Clear communicator who can work async and flag issues early

This is an ongoing engagement for the right person. We value developers who think about architecture, not just code.

Contract duration of 1 to 3 months.
