Power BI Data Architect: Real-Time ETL

We are a Fintech firm seeking a Power BI specialist for a targeted, high-impact project. We have a proprietary dashboard containing sales, customer master data, and transactional insights (interest, purchases, withdrawals).

We need a contractor to establish a robust, real-time data flow from our source systems into Power BI. Your goal is to deliver a suite of clean, relational tables within a single Power BI environment, enabling our internal team to build dynamic visualizations on top of your architecture.

Scope of Work

Data Integration:

Connect Power BI to our backend (API, SQL, or Cloud DB) ensuring real-time or near-real-time connectivity.

Data Transformation:

Clean and structure raw data into "finance-friendly" tables (Star Schema preferred).

Unified Environment:

Ensure all tables reside within the same Power BI dataset/workspace to allow for cross-functional reporting.

Performance Tuning:

Optimize the data load to ensure zero lag in "real-time" views.

Technical Requirements

Power BI Expert:

Advanced knowledge of Power Query (M) and DAX.

Connectivity Specialist:

Proven experience with DirectQuery, Live Connection, and API integrations.

Fintech Experience:

Understanding of financial data structures (accruals, ledger balances, etc.) is a major plus.

Security Minded:

Ability to handle sensitive customer data according to US financial standards.

Collaboration:

You will provide the "data layer," and our internal team will handle the UI/UX and final dashboard design.

Contract duration of less than 1 month. with 30 hours per week.
