Microsoft intune engineer

Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced Microsoft Endpoint Engineer who specialises in Microsoft Intune, Entra ID and Microsoft Defender to support our team on an ad-hoc project basis.

We run multiple environments and projects where we deploy and manage Microsoft endpoint security and device management.

We want someone who knows the Microsoft ecosystem deeply, can help design and implement best-practice environments, and assist when complex deployments or migrations are required.

This role is not full-time. We are looking for a trusted specialist we can engage as needed for architecture, troubleshooting and implementation across projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement Microsoft Intune environments from scratch
• Configure device compliance, configuration profiles and security baselines
• Implement Windows Hello for Business correctly (cloud trust or hybrid as required)
• Configure Autopilot and device enrolment
• Migrate unmanaged Windows devices into Intune management without losing user data
• Assist with converting local accounts to Microsoft Entra managed identities
• Implement and manage Microsoft Defender for Endpoint policies and security posture
• Configure Conditional Access and security policies within Entra ID
• Troubleshoot device enrolment, policy deployment and identity issues
• Assist with secure remote onboarding of devices
• Provide advice on best practice Microsoft endpoint architecture

• Migrating existing Windows machines into Intune while preserving user profiles and data
• Converting non-managed computers into fully managed Entra / Intune devices
• Deploying Windows Hello for Business correctly across an environment
• Designing secure device compliance policies and Defender integration
• Autopilot deployments and provisioning workflows
• Security hardening and baseline implementation

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Manager)
• Deep understanding of Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD
• Experience deploying Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
• Strong knowledge of Windows device management and identity architecture
• Experience with Windows Hello for Business deployments
• Experience migrating devices into Intune without wiping user data
• Strong troubleshooting ability across identity, device enrolment and policy conflicts

Contract duration of more than 6 months. with 30 hours per week.
