Job Description

Hi,

Here is the current status of the setup.

A Physical server is at our home, we have taken a vps with WireGuard from Hetzner, and a floating IP was purchased and successfully attached to VM inside the Proxmox server, which is installed on phyical server.

WireGuard has been installed and is running properly between the Hetzner server and the home Proxmox VE server. The additional floating IP has already been assigned to a VM inside the Proxmox environment.

The remaining task is to properly configure routing and/or NAT so that the internal VM inside Proxmox becomes publicly accessible via the Hetzner floating IP.

External inbound traffic hitting the floating IP on the Hetzner server needs to be forwarded correctly through the WireGuard tunnel to the internal VM, and outbound traffic from that VM must return using the floating IP as the source IP.

Firewall rules, IP forwarding, and policy-based routing need to be verified and adjusted as required to ensure a clean and permanent networking setup where the VM is fully reachable from the internet via the floating IP.

Contract duration of 1 to 3 months.

Mandatory skills:

Network Administration, Linux System Administration, Network Security, Linux, System Administration, Computer Network, Virtual LAN
