Job Description

We are a small, growing company looking for a reliable and proactive General IT Support Specialist to assist us with ongoing, on-demand technical needs.

This is not a full-time role, rather, we're looking for someone we can build a long-term relationship with and reach out to when IT-related tasks arise.

If you enjoy working with small teams, solving practical tech problems, and being the "go-to" IT person, this role is for you.

Tasks may include (but are not limited to):

  • Website Support (Squarespace)
  • Making small content or layout updates in Squarespace
  • Troubleshooting formatting or functionality issues
  • Connecting domains or adjusting DNS settings (if needed)
  • Advising on minor improvements or optimizations
  • Outlook Workspace / User Management
  • Creating and managing user accounts
  • Setting up email accounts and permissions
  • Managing shared drives and access controls
  • Basic security setup (2FA, access reviews, etc.)
  • Hardware & Device Setup
  • Setting up new MacBooks for team members
  • Configuring email, shared drives, and essential tools
  • Installing required software and ensuring best practice configuration
  • Troubleshooting basic MacOS issues

General IT Support

  • Troubleshooting day to day tech issues
  • Advising on simple security best practices
  • Helping us choose and set up basic tools (if needed)
  • Providing occasional tech guidance for small operational improvements

Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience providing general IT support for small businesses
  • Is comfortable with Squarespace
  • Has experience managing Outlook Workspace
  • Is experienced with MacOS and Apple devices
  • Can explain technical concepts in simple, non technical language
  • Is responsive and dependable
  • Is comfortable working independently
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices for small teams
  • Experience documenting simple IT processes
  • FLUENT in English.
