Automation Engineer – Email Workflow

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced automation specialist to design and implement an AI-assisted email and workflow management system for a growing digital business.

The goal is to streamline multiple email accounts, automate sorting and prioritization, enable task delegation, and ensure important communications are never missed.

This role will focus on automation architecture and system implementation, not general IT support.

Responsibilities

Design and implement automated email workflows including:

Consolidation of multiple email accounts into a unified management system

Email filtering and labeling based on sender, topic, and priority

Automated routing of specific emails to designated team members

Setup of reminder systems for unanswered emails and follow-ups

Creation of daily or scheduled AI-generated email summaries

Develop integrations between tools such as:

Gmail / Google Workspace

Automation platforms (Zapier or Make)

Task management tools

Calendar systems

Create systems that allow team members to handle delegated emails without full inbox access.

Implement a workflow where incoming emails can automatically trigger:

notifications

tasks

delegation

reminders

Document the system so it can be maintained by non-technical staff.
