Apigee API Engineer – API Security

We are looking for a skilled Google Apigee API Developer with strong experience in API management, security implementation, and enterprise system integration.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, securing, and optimizing APIs using Google Apigee Edge/Hybrid, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability across distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and configure API proxies, policies, and flows using Google Apigee Edge/Hybrid.

Implement and manage API security policies including:

OAuth 2.0

JWT validation

API Key validation

Threat protection mechanisms

Integrate backend systems including REST services, SOAP services, databases, and SaaS applications.

Perform data transformation, mapping, and orchestration between multiple systems.

Optimize APIs for performance, scalability, and reliability.

Set up monitoring, logging, and analytics using Apigee tools.

Create and maintain API documentation and developer guidelines.

Collaborate with backend developers, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders for end-to-end API delivery.

Support testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and production issue resolution.

Contract duration of 1 to 3 months. with 40 hours per week.
