Key Accountabilities:

• Underwrite new and renewal commercial property accounts with technical excellence and strategic precision
• Build and maintain strong broker relationships that drive business growth and mutual success
• Negotiate renewals with confidence using unmatched product knowledge and market insight
• Prepare underwriting instructions for renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and new business with speed and accuracy
• Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, authority limits, and governance standards—our tech stack helps you stay on track
• Balance disciplined underwriting with creative agility; use your authority to tackle complex risks in innovative ways

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial property underwriting experience
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial property coverages, valuations, and business interruption exposures
• CAIB, CIP, FCIP, or active progression toward industry credentials
• Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills, with strong customer service instincts
• Inclusive, transparent, and collaborative, with the resilience to thrive in fast-paced environments
• General Insurance License in good standing (or the ability to obtain one within 60 days)

Salary Range: CAD $65,000-$110,000
